Author and special correspondent for Vanity Fair, William Cohan, says he and Scaramucci became friends several years ago after Cohan wrote about him in his book about Goldman Sachs. Cohan says he was surprised when he read the interview but believes he will survive the criticism. Cohan says it would be a mistake to think that Scaramucci is doing anything that the president doesn't want him to do, rather his behavior is probably being directed by Trump. \"It may look like he's blowing it but I think he's doing what the president wants him to do.
