And because we have increasingly, made it increasingly difficult to get into the country, whether its through increased Border Patrol personnel at the border, or fencing and so on. And so the more extreme the counter measures and security that we put in place for border protection, the more unfortunately, the greater risks that people are willing to go to in order to get into the Untied States.\" \u003cbr/\u003e              6. We've effectively made it much more profitable and  uh much more necessary for migrant smuggling organizations and other kinds of smuggling organiztions to develop along the border so unfortunately what we see playing out in these kinds of incidents is the result of US policy. And we could avoid these kinds of tragedies by seriously overhauling our immigration system and providing legal paths to entry to the Untied States. As opposed to building higher walls we should really be thinking about wider more effectively regulated gates for allowing people to enter the country.\u003cbr/\u003e              8. We've seen in the last 20 years thousands of people die coming into the country because they put themselves in these very dangerous conditions.
