SOUNDBITE (English) Amber Rudd, British Home Secretary:\"Unfortunately, we have again woken up to another terrible incident in London, where a man has taken hold of a van and driven it into a group of innocent people in Finsbury Park. There was one fatal fatality that we know about and a number of casualties and police are treating it as a terrorist incident.\"(Journalist: Do we know anything about the attacker at this stage?) Amber Rudd: \"We don't, at this stage, but the police will be doing their investigative work during the day and in the next few days.\"(Journalist: Many questions have ben asked this morning. why exactly it seemed to take the Metropolitan Police such a long time to declare this a terrorist incident and compare it to other incidents that have taken place over the last month. Why was that?) Amber Rudd: \"We know that the police were on hand immediately, we know that they have treated immediately as a suspected terror event and that is the normal procedure and we will see whether they confirm that later this morning.\" (Journalist: But it does seem unusual because after the London Bridge attack and the Manchester attack, there wasn't that much time between the actual incident taking place and it being described as a terrorist attack whereas this one (at Finsbury Park) seem to take them several hours. You can understand why several members of the Muslim community saying 'why is this such a disparity?' Is it because it was a white man?)Amber Rudd: \"It was treated immediately as a suspected terrorist attack, we must allow the police to deal with the facts and they will make sure that they make those facts available as soon as they can. Our priority must be to support the people who have been the victims of this and to make sure the investigation is done with all due speed and professionalism.\"(Journalist: Many Muslims are saying today that this is the most recent and most notable attack on this community but we have seen a surge over the past few weeks. Is this something you're very concerned about? Have you been monitoring it over the last month?)Amber Rudd: \"We're concerned about everybody and Londoners have been hit with a series of attacks and have actually been nothing short of heroic. We will always make sure that everybody is protected, we have placed of worship fund, which we announced last summer, which is there to protect places of worship like mosques, we will make sure that we do all we can to reduce these sort of attacks.\"(Journalist: Do you think we need to start looking at protection for religious sites or whether it's safe (inaudible))Amber Rudd: \"We've already done that. We've made available a two and a half million pounds last summer that is available for places of worship. I've announced who will be getting those additional funds, which included twelve mosques and actually I have re-opened it recently to make sure everybody, any additional place of worship that feels the need can apply to extra-security. We won't stop in making sure that people can continue to lawfully practice their worship as they want to in this country.\"(Journalist: What's going to happen today? Is there going to be a COBRA meeting?)Amber Rudd: \"Yes, the prime minister will chair a COBRA later today; we will allow the police and the counter-terrorism police who are involved to make sure the investigation continues and we will continue to keep people aware of the progress that is being made.\"(Journalist: We had a month of relentless terrorist attacks and the horrific fire incident last week (at Grenfell Tower). Emergency services must be under tremendous strain. Are you considering extra resources?) Amber Rudd: \"When we speak to emergency services during these series of attacks, we always ask them what additional support they need. Actually, they have generally confirmed to us - I spoke to a number of them over the weekend recently - that they do have sufficient resources because there's a kind of mutual aid that works of people supporting each other. Mutual aid that went to help people in Manchester, mutual aid that helps people in London and it is working but of course, we will always keep it under review to make sure that our emergency services
