That leaves Barca and a handful of surviving medical practitioners to continue providing private service to an appreciative public, many of whom are critical of a public health system they say doesn't meet their expectations. He and a handful of medical practitioners continue to provide service to clients, charging them directly for medical care outside of the state controlled public health system. Barca says it's likely he and his fellow classmates will be the last of a dying breed of private medical practitioners in the country, since the public health sector built by the government leaves no space for private practices.Havana - 7 June 20171.
