Protesters laid on the ground covered in white sheets to highlight the high number of people they say are dying in the healthcare system.One activist said there is a \"health genocide\" happening in the country.Similar protests took place in some 55 cities and towns in Ukraine.Ukraine's acting Health Minister, Ulana Suprun, said the proposed healthcare reform will change financing and \"put trust back into the system.\"The reform would change the way the budget is distributed, cover emergency medical care, palliative care and primary medical care. The Parliament decided not to put the bill up for consideration earlier in May as some lawmakers wanted to see improvements.Kiev - 6 June 20171. Obviously, Ukrainians are dying and we have some kind of a health genocide in the country. Because we don't have normal healthcare system, all the hospitals are supposed to be free of charge but you have to pay unofficially everywhere.
