Gunn said backstage at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood that his life changed after watching \"Star Wars\" when it was released in 1977. \"When I first started making 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' I wasn't trying to make a movie that was like 'Star Wars.' But I wanted to make a movie that made kids and adults all over the world feel like 'Star Wars' made me feel when I was a kid. It changed my life,\" he said. \"So I'm really happy to be a space opera in that tradition.\"Joined by actress Pom Klementieff, who plays Mantis in the new film, Gunn said he'd spent the earlier part of the day playing video games, listening to music and writing the script for the third movie. \"Yeah.
