An armed group came and kidnapped him. We have not seen him since. We contacted doctors in the area and officials of the armed group and they would tell me that he (the husband) is not there. But when I went into the neighbour's house, I saw his motorcycle on the mountain. This motorcycle means a lot to me because it shows that this is the last stop my husband had reached. They (the armed group) did not say anything about my husband and they would not admit (that they have him). This chair was designed by me and my daughter. This is his chair and he is still here and we are waiting for him and asking for him, me and my children and my grandchildren who say they want to see their grandfather. A missing person makes people lose their minds. Till now our hearts are aching and we are asking for him and we want the truth. We want the truth and want to know his fate. For this reason, today we have a project to support the families of the disappeared and this is the project you see here: empty chairs, families waiting. This project gives the families a chance to express their loss and the struggles they live everyday and to also express their memory of the missing person - what he liked, what he did in life - so that they tell us about this missing person. This person is more than just one number among the missing, he is a person, he is still a person for these families. Tilt down of event poster reading (English/Arabic): \"Empty Chairs, Waiting Families\"LEADIN:A new exhibition in Beirut aims to raise awareness about the thousands of people still missing in Lebanon.STORYLINE:Empty chairs to symbolise those who are missing.This exhibition is all about the ordinary Lebanese people who have disappeared during the county's conflicts.Nazih Agha vanished in 1982, in the seventh year of Lebanon's 15-year civil war. He was a fisherman, husband and father who had left one day to sell some fish in south Lebanon and never came back. Thirty-five years later and still missing, his wife and daughter are now exhibiting a chair they designed in his honour in Beit Beirut (Beirut House) - a sniper-lair turned into a memorial to Lebanon's civil war.\"This chair was designed by me and my daughter,\" says his wife Jamila Agha, as she shows people the design.\"This is his chair and he is still here and we are waiting for him and asking for him - me and my children and my grandchildren who say they want to see their grandfather. This an important part of the project - it raises awareness in society about what the families of the disappeared live through,\" she adds.After 15 years of shifting alliances and destructive foreign interventions, the war was not so much resolved as it was settled, its surviving warlords dividing up the country's top political posts. Successive governments have failed to open official inquiries into the fates of thousands of those who disappeared.The presumption is that the bodies of the thousands who disappeared could someday be found in yet undiscovered mass graves, burial sites or even just scattered across the country. On Thursday, the ICRC released a statement calling on Lebanese authorities to pass a law that will help clarify the fate of the disappeared and approve a project to collect biological reference samples from the missing persons' families.It's a step that will allow for the extraction of DNA and identification of human remains, if and when a national commission is formed by the government.Until then, those left behind still wait for some news of their loved ones' fate.At the exhibition, Michel Sukkar speaks to the chair devoted to his missing brother, Mtanios.\"I have missed
