But both researchers were prevented from travelling to Boston to take up their position after the Trump administration moved surprisingly swiftly to implement his ban on admission of citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries. We are great. And if you look at that fraction of these Nobel laureates who are foreign born, who've come to the United States for training - whether as graduate students or postdoctoral fellows or as physician scientists who are early in their careers and have made their discoveries in this country - one third, one out of three of the United States Nobel laureates are foreign nationals who came here for their research training.\"4. I can go to China, where there's a much larger investment in biomedical and other research and a more accepting policy toward people coming from other countries.
