There are six this year, so we recognized them early in their career and now they are being nominated in the main categories.\"The nominations were announced in London by actors Dominic Cooper and Sophie Turner.Both were surprised by the \"huge mixture of very different films\" up for prizes.\"There was some gasps,\" said Cooper, \"you did hear some gasps of recognition or disbelief, but you feel it's a very thorough - BAFTA itself and the BAFTA members, the six and a half thousand of them - they have thoroughly looked through absolutely everything and it's a dedicated idea behind what they love and I think I wasn't surprised.\"While Cooper and Turner wouldn't admit which films and actors they're rooting for, they did say they're looking forward to attending the event.\"It's a fun night. It's presented, it's always humorous, it's funny, it's light-hearted,\" smiled Cooper.This year, for the first time in two decades, the ceremony will take place at London's Royal Albert Hall, rather than the Royal Opera House.\"We're going to miss the Royal Opera House, but the Albert Hall just allows you to look at the ceremony and what you do and what you could do differently and we're working with Cirque du Soleil to create a very magical moment within the show,\" teased Berry.The event takes place on Feb. 12, two weeks before the Oscars.The BAFTAs differ from their U.S. counterpart in having a separate category for best British film.
