The pro version boasts a maximum depth of 150 metres.But it's not just for professionals, CEO of Alleco Jounni Leinikki says it's useful for recreational divers too. It can be used to play games and watch movies during long stops.\"They can for example collect data to electronic form, that's for professional divers mostly,\" he explains. \"They can use the tablet as a navigator so that they can actually use a map and see their position on it, which is something that has not been possible before in the underwater world. \"And for recreational divers, it's also possible for example to play games and watch movies if you like, because some divers who go very deep, they need to make on and boring stops.\"Elsewhere, Ela is demonstrating its ovulation and fertility smartphone app. It uses an array of health trackers to provide tailored information on fertility, period cycles and reproductive health.The Ela tracker helps women identify the best days to conceive, predicting the best five days in their fertile window. It can also be used to keep track of the menstrual cycle when not trying to conceive.But Ela co-founder Aditya Kandoi says it's the community function that makes it unique, connecting users to like-minded people around the world to share and discuss experiences.\"They get to connect with other women, then they also get to connect with gynaecologists and IVF centres at one go,\" he explains. \"Plus, since they're tracking their vitals almost everyday, so they get to know about their body changes, which in fact educates them to plan their health better.\"Woppy is demonstrating this child-friendly carved wooden computer.It comes in five simple wooden blocks which act as a casing for a simple computer processor.The idea is to provide a computer experience aimed completely at children, allowing them to improve skills and share accomplishments.The blocks are designed for children to assemble and left plain so they can be decorated.\"We want to link between the visual world and the real world,\" explains Woppy founder Rasim Cin.\"Wood is really cute and kids like wood very much, and also, it's all open to customisation, they can paint, they can stick stickers, what they want. It is all for kids.\"Aside from thousands of startups, two-day tech fest Slush is also welcoming in excess of 1,100 hallowed investors.But are their days numbered now startups are increasingly turning to crowd funding websites such as Indiegogo or Kickstarter for investment?Indiegogo co-founder Danae Ringelmann says they founded the site to bring attention to ideas being failed by the system.\"There were ideas that were meant to be in this world, but they weren't seeing the light of day because of the inefficient systems around financing and navigating those waters,\" she says.And while many startups here are vying for investor attention, Ringelmann says Indiegogo provides something they can't - real market response.\"They can give you their best opinion and their best guess based on their experience, but they don't know with certainty whether that's true or not,\" she says. \"What Indiegogo does is it gives you a platform to test your idea and let the world speak, let your customers tell you is this something they want? Is this something they're willing to pay for?\"Does this mean an end to traditional investment?Dave McLure says no.
