That means 6,000 to 10,000 migrants will need to be relocated, including up to 1,300 minors, according to different estimates from charities operating in the camp.Many refugee children in Calais claim to have family ties in the UK and don't even consider building their future in France.  Wasaal himself has stopped trying to sneak onto trucks to Britain. Instead he's had his fingerprints taken as part of his request for asylum. He hopes to be reunited with his uncle and cousins in the UK.Britain's Home Office says small groups of refugee children have been coming on a weekly basis for the last few months and hundreds are now expected to cross the Channel legally before the Calais camp is destroyed.England's Child Commissioner vowed to have all of them registered and get those eligible to asylum over to the UK as fast as possible. \"I know that there's people now working to see if we can do this in a matter of days possibly two weeks, around that time\", Anne Longfield said during a visit of the Government run Jules Ferry centre near the camp on Thursday. Wasaal, like many others, left Afghanistan and set out on a perilous three-month journey across countries including Syria, Turkey, and Serbia.He can't wait to get away from the camp where he says he's a pray to violent groups.\"For me, for a very, very little man, they will harm you and get the money from you\", he explained.\"At night, they will attack your tent and maybe steal everything that you have in your tent.\"He fled Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan where Taliban are conducting repeated raids. He has lost touch with his parents, who also fled the violence. His hopes are simple: receiving a proper education in a safe environment.\"The subjects that I loved and that I trusted in are chemistry and biology. Because of that, these two subjects are the basic subjects for medicine.\"This, he says, is what he wants to study.Aid groups agree the Calais camp must be shut down, but are urging authorities to take their time. The refugee youth service has handed mobile phones to hundreds of children and collected information to make sure they won't go missing when the camp is dismantled. When the southern part of the camp was destroyed in April, 129 children vanished.On Friday morning, French NGO France Terre d'Asile tried to speed up the registration process for those eligible to a transfer to the UK by gathering as many of these teenagers outside the CAP – the camp's temporary welcome centre, set up for vulnerable refugees.But with little to no precise guidelines and a growing crowd of restless migrants, NGO outside the CAP found themselves scrambling for information to pass on to the children desperate to secure an interview. Tensions have been growing amid the looming uncertainty. It's only a matter of weeks before all the Calais migrants will be deported, transferred to England or relocated to more than 160 centres around France.
