She was stopped at the airport while traveling with her young daughter as she tried to leave Iran on 3 April 2016. The Ratcliffe's baby daughter Gabriella had her British passport seized and is currently stranded in Iran with grandparents.At a panel discussion in central London, Carla Ferstman, Director of Redress human rights organisation, said there was \"absolutely nothing\" stopping Britain taking forward legal proceedings against Iran.At the same event, Tulip Siddiq, the opposition lawmaker for the Ratcliffes' constituency of Hampstead and Kilburn, said she had not yet received a response from Prime Minister Theresa May to a petition handed in on the first day of her premiership.London - 13 October 20161. She was allowed to call me actually since she's been sentenced, so last Tuesday she had a phone call. And yes, she was pretty angry, which is a good sign in a way. Before she was very upset. She was angry that there was another prisoner who was held at the same time, a Canadian, who was released last week, and she was like 'why am I still being held here?' Her case is more complicated. We've got an embassy and they don't have an embassy in Canada. And look, I've got a baby, why am I still being held here?
