Pointing to one of her beautician she says: \"She's taken into account her skin tone and the colour of her hair, also her age and what kind of look that she wants. Then she's mixed specialist gel with specialist pigments. She might have mixed two, three pigments together to get the exact colour and each individual hair on the brows has been isolated then painted with this specialist gel.\"Once the process is finished Jenkins says: \"We can shape the brow afterwards, take off any excess hair to have a perfectly sculpted, perfect brow.\"Models like Cara Delevingne and celebrities such as Kim Kardashian brought back the long full eyebrow look, but that's disappearing according to Jenkins: \"It might look okay when you're about seventeen or eighteen, but thereafter every woman isn't the same and not every woman suits that kind of heavy look and it's starting to look quite dated now.\"The Hair and Beauty Industry Authority believes the growth in luxury services like lashes and brow grooming is being spurred on by social media, with high profile celebrity trendsetters influencing styles and spurring demand.Celebrity makeup artist Nicci Jackson works with models on fashion week catwalks around the world as well as musicians.Jackson is welcoming the arrival of more natural look rather than sculpted, contoured faces with layers of shading, using makeup like paints.She says: \"Now we're going into more natural light to the face, it's now called 'strobing', so it's the reverse of contours. It's all about bringing light to the face and emphasising the dimensions.\"One more extreme of this trend is the appearance of the bleached eyebrow effect. But Jenkins argues this isn't happening in the high street salons which use her products.Jenkins says: \"The fashionistas and the catwalk try to tell us that this year we're going to be eye makeup free, or we're going to bleach our brows. Who wants an average woman to have bleached brows? It's okay if you're in a trendy club, or you're in fashion, high fashion. Most women aren't.\" The bleached look was in play on the catwalk of the Alexander Wang New York show in September.Julia Townend, who's a makeup artist for films and television as well as specialising in body painting, doesn't think the bleached look will catch on.She says: \"I think that's more for fashion it's on the catwalk and editorial, I'm not so sure if that's mainstream really.\"Despite being seen as a luxury, beauty products and salons are so far proving resilient against industry jitters over the UK's exit from the European Union.Jenkins believes demand for basic beauty products is not likely to wobble.She says: \"Women, if they're working or they have any kind of disposable income: hair, nails and how their face looks and it's now hair, nails and eyelashes and eyelashes are the fastest growing salon service in the world.\" Crystal herself is among those capitalising on the beauty boom.She's just opened her own business in the West Country county of Somerset.Crystal says: \"It takes a long time to do my brows, they're quite sparse and I needed sort of something that was going to fill them in more than anything really.\"Her own experience has persuaded her there are many more women who think the same way, but it's not an exclusively female trend.According to the Centre for Economic and Business Research, well over 600 beauty and grooming businesses opened in 2015, fuelled by the demand for everything from beards to brows.Music on catwalks not cleared for use.
