Lori Howe said Tuesday (20 SEPT. 2016) at her Los Angeles offices that she found it \"a little bit interesting\" that Jolie had asked for joint legal custody of the famed Hollywood couple's six children -- but sole physical custody.  \"Typically, if somebody feels like they can't parent and share physical custody of the children, they don't always start off out of the gate requesting joint legal custody. They also ask for sole legal custody. So I found that a little bit interesting that the decision was to check the box for sole physical, but joint legal,\" Howe said. The pair became a couple in 2004 but married two years ago. For now, Jolie Pitt and Pitt's immediate concern appears to be their six children, who range in age from 8 to 15. Jolie Pitt is seeking sole physical custody, with Pitt having visitation.Any custody agreement they reach in Los Angeles would continue to be enforceable overseas, and would spell out where the holidays will be celebrated and how Jolie Pitt and Pitt will make decisions about the children's medical care and education.\"It's always interesting to me when people have multiple children together and have been together for a long time -- when they make the decision that they no longer want to, for example, parent with the other party,\" Howe said. \"Because, for example in this case, I think their oldest child is 15 years old. So therefore the parenting has been going on for 15 years. So to make a decision all of a sudden that they no longer want to parent with the other party could be something related to an event that just occurred, or a change has happened over time, or maybe a little bit less tolerance than they used to have for certain behaviors.\"Under California law, only assets acquired during their marriage must be split equally. Forbes magazine estimates the pair earned a combined $555 million  (USD) since their relationship began, with pre-tax earnings of $117.5 million since their 2014 marriage.\"I would not doubt that there would be a premarital agreement.
