The...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eARAD BRINGS HIS 'CURTAIN CALL' TO LONDONAcclaimed artist Ron Arad has brought his 360-degree immersive installation \"Curtain Call\" to The Roundhouse, to celebrate the iconic London arts venue's 50th anniversary. The floor-to-ceiling-curtain, which fills the Roundhouse's circular floor space, is made from 600 silicon rods, suspended from an 18 meter diameter ring.The installation will provide a canvas for film, live musical performances and audience interaction, with visitors encouraged to weave their way in and out of the giant curtain during performances.Arad has invited new artists to use his curtain (which was created in 2011) as a canvas for their artwork.\"Some people did new work,\" said Arad. \"About five new pieces out of the 12. And there were some pieces that we couldn't not show. We love it so much we had to show it again.\"\"It gives you a chance to see things again, to edit things again, to have sort of new work done for it,\" he added, expressing his pleasure at revisiting the work.Among the new artists working with Arad are Kutiman, Marshmallow Laser Feast and Universal Everything. Musicians utilizing the installation for their performances include Matthew Herbert (who will be supported by Arad's daughter Lail Arad), grime artist Gaika and the Mercury Prize-nominated Brit, Eska.\"Ron had seen me perform a while back and so when I got the call to work with the curtain I was super excited because it's a great challenge to work with multimedia,\" beamed Eska. \"I love performing anyway just as a musician, but to actually explore my visual aesthetic to kind of get that chance to think about putting the two together, that's been really exciting.\"Despite seeing footage of the curtain online, Eska couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the real thing in the digital flesh.\"If you look this up on YouTube, it doesn't do it justice at all. In no way would you be able to understand just the feel of an 18 meter diameter curtain, floor to ceiling, 360 projection. It's not easy to explain, seeing is believing really in this instance,\" she said. Describing the exhibition as \"great for adult play\" but with a \"child-like sensibility,\" Eska is looking forward to working with the curtain and her audience being able to interact with it.The singer will play her 2015 self-titled album for her unique performance.\" I knew that the music I wanted to do was explore the music from my Mercury nominated album and in many ways this is the final curtain for that album. It's actually turning a page in a new chapter because I'm going into a new season and starting on the second record. So this has come at a really amazing time in terms of my timeline with the journey that this album, my debut album took me on.\"With Arad allowing each artist and performer complete artistic freedom over their use of the curtain, Eska was excited to explore her options.\"In my production we're actually running three stages. So I'll be moving across three stages. In no way would you be able to understand just the feel of an 18 meter diameter curtain, floor to ceiling, 360 projection. It's not easy to explain, seeing is believing really in this instance. And also the different ways in which people are able to interact with it. I kind of see this curtain as great for adult play. There's something about it that sort of gives you this child-like sensibility to it. The fact that you can actually work with the curtain, you can move it, you can walk through it. So you can be impressed by what's going on but you're also a part of what's going on as well.\"10. Wide shot Eska11.
