STORYLINE:Egypt's largest camel market is held here at Birqash every Friday and Saturday.Birqash is a small village in the city of Giza, 45 kilometres (28 miles) northwest of Cairo. At this market, hundreds of camels are sold.In the morning, livestock merchants from across the region gather here to buy, sell and trade camels.Most of the animals are brought up from Sudan to Abu Simbel in Aswan by camel herders.In addition to those from Sudan, there are camels from various parts of Egypt including Sinai and sometimes as far away as Somalia. Smaller camels go for as little as 2000 Egyptian pounds, but bigger beasts can sell for 15,000 and upwards.At the time of Eid al-Adha, \"which begins in many places today (Monday), the market is crowded with hundreds of traders, and some buyers believe that camel meat is better than others.Some, however, have still noticed a price jump.\"Camel meat prices rose from 40 pounds to 100 pounds. Is it the government or the dollar?,\" asks one herdsman.Camel meat is still comparatively cheap and therefore extremely popular. \"Camels can travel five days without eating. The price rate make camels desirable from customers,\" says merchant Ramadan Sulaiman.Rising prices and declining incomes have made camel meat a natural choice. \"I changed to buy camel meat this year
