A new unity government aimed at healing the country's divisions is to take power and rule from Tripoli. But the journalists trying to report on the political negotiations are subject to abuse and violence from different armed factions. On World Press Freedom Day on 3 May this year, journalists discuss the importance of unbiased reporting. They also speak about the threats they face daily. Libyan Journalist, Adel Ben Salma, hopes the unity government will support journalists and help improve their working conditions. \"We hope in 2016 the situation is better for journalists to convey the message freely,\" says Salma. The Libyan Center for Freedom of Press (LCFP), an NGO based in Tripoli, has been collecting reports of violence and crimes. It's reporting an increasing number of kidnappings, torture and threats against journalists. \"In 2015 we tracked 118 case of violations reported against the journalists,\" says the NGO's head Mohammed Al-Najem.\"There were 92 cases against reporters and 26 against other media outlets.
