It was celebrating a great positive thing in my opinion for Israel but at the same time you see a side of it that is an extremist side that does not agree with that and is kind of a using force, extreme force and out of nowhere kind of coming out and destroying, destroying the hope.\"In 2009 Cumming was awarded an OBE from the Queen for his services to film, theatre and the arts as well as his activism for equal rights for the gay and lesbian community in America.The British actor shot to fame in the CBS TV drama, \"The Good Wife\" in which he played political consultant Eli Gold.\"Cumming and his character, were upped to season regulars from the second season of 'The Good Wife,' making this his first full-time gig on a U.S. television show. Cumming said he was surprised that the show did so well on an American network (CBS) where he said there is less room to experiment.\"American TV) Networks are not known for their adventurous nature in terms of narratives and what it allows the writers to do. And what I really liked about the show was the fact that it didn't really tell the audience what to think.\"He insisted he was happy to have left the character of Eli Gold behind and said the show wrapped up at the right time.\"It was time for it to end before it got watered down and started repeating itself. I think it bowed out just when it should have,\" Cumming said. \"In a way I immediately left him (Eli) behind, I roughed up my hair and he was gone and that's what I did when the show was finished. I feel it was something I just kind of fell into that suddenly 6 and a bit years later here I am. So, I'm very proud of it I  had a great time and also I feel it was ready, it was time for it to end before it got watered down and started repeating itself. Anyway I, it's a long, long complicated and hilarious story but ultimately a moment comes when Oprah is walking towards us and I've got the camera  and I am trying to get to zoom out 'cause I was zooming away ino her table and she's coming towards us 'cause she's on her way to the loo. And Eddie sais 'She's coming quick, quick and I see him through the lens, and he turns to her, I hear him saying: 'Oprah may I have a picture with you it would be my dream.'
