I don't do it. I have wine with dinner and that's about it,\" said the 69-year-old.Although he did add that \"weed's OK for most people.\"The film, which is directed by Jim Jarmusch, is a documentary about Pop's seminal punk band The Stooges.Based on the memories of the musician, it's made up of archival footage and still images from the band's past and features a young, vibrant Iggy often on LSD.\"I was on acid on more than several of the clips in the movie when I was young, admitted Pop. \"I would go from, I'd be feeling very aggressive for five seconds and then break out laughing. But you are not supposed to do that if you are like, you know, 'yeah, right on,' you know, 'brothers and sisters.' So that was a difference in our approach.\"The American singer-songwriter, who is known for his energetic performances, said the key to his longevity in the business was \"nothing fancy.\" \"I had really great parents and I didn't listen to them and then, later in my life, I began to listen to them, especially to my mother I have to say. And there is a lot of that in the Velvet Underground music too. These are avant-garde ideas and they crept in. And that is why so many odd things happened in the history of that group. We were just kind of letting things happen. I was on acid on more than several of the clips in the movie when I was young.
