Danz Base is the latest dance arcade machine by Taiwan-based IGS (International Games Systems) and it's proving popular across Asia. IGS Arcade Game Division manager Andy Chu says the machine has sensors to detect body movements. \"You can dance with all your body, including arms and legs. It is different from traditional dance machines on which you can only step on arrows. Our arcade machine includes characters that lead dances for players,\" he says. Danz Base is among those on show at the GTI Asia Taipei Expo.Motion sensors detect the body movements of two or more users, with more points awarded for dancing together, in time. The dance machine features choreography from famous Taiwanese pop dancers and is mainly found in arcades in East Asian countries. The songs include Taiwanese, Latino, Korean and Chinese styles.Motion sensors are also installed in this traditional shooting arcade game, making the action a full body experience. Players are cooperating in an underwater adventure. They need to imitate the action of swimming in order to pass through various obstacles in the game. Sea monsters are just one of the challenges. Robotic arms threaten to take over croupiers' jobs in casinos around the world.Bingotimes Digital Technology, another Taiwanese arcade game machine manufacturer, is selling baccarat machines that use real playing cards, but with the dealing done by robots. The creators say the machine is precise and offers zero mistakes and zero possibility of cheating. Wesley Chang, the company's Special Assistant to the general Manager explains that it opens the possibility of cost cutting at casinos. \"Besides saving on employment costs, these machines are totally fair. We found out that people would have doubts when it comes to croupiers dealing cards. Players might suspect that the croupier is cheating. We cannot say that croupiers are cheating, but the possibility is still there. You will not have to worry about that with a robotic arm. And also, the entire arcade machine is sealed. It has a security system. If you open it, or shake it, it will completely freeze. When it freezes, it will record the time and other information, and it will activate its security system.\"More traditional arcade games feature bright colours and cute characters to lure players.There are racing games with graphics that look just like real life.  Claw arcade machines are getting harder, a squirming cat will evade all but the most precise and persistent joystick operators. While Paokai Electronic Enterprise is bringing hardware to the skill tester.
