Wide shot Keith Richards leaves press lineROLLING STONES TALK OLD MEMORIES AND NEW MUSIC AT LAUNCH OF 'EXHIBITIONISM' Keith Richards described seeing five decades of Rolling Stones history on display as a \"heartwarming\" experience, as he joined his bandmates at the red carpet launch of \"Exhibitionism\" in London on Monday (4 APRIL 2016).The vast display covers 20,000 square feet (1,850 square meters) of London's Saatchi Gallery, with more than 500 artifacts, borrowed from the band's archive and private collectors, including musical instruments, lyrics, sketches, film clips, outfits, posters, album artwork and stage designs. \"My life flashed before my eyes in seconds,\" admitted Mick Jagger, \"this is like, your life flashing before your eyes in, well half an hour, you could do it, I think, if you walk quickly.\"The collection is a treasure trove for fans, who can ogle everything from a marabou-feather cape Mick Jagger wore to sing \"Sympathy for the Devil\" to a Maton guitar owned by Keith Richards whose neck fell off during the recording of \"Gimme Shelter\" (the song ends with a barely audible clunk).\"I think people will enjoy it,\" said Jagger, laughing, \"I mean, if you like the Rolling Stones you'll enjoy it, but if you don't like the Rolling Stones, don't bother coming!\"Even casual fans will likely be impressed by the exhibition's attention to detail. It opens with a life-size recreation of an apartment the band members shared in 1962-63 in Chelsea, a then-raffish, now-affluent London neighborhood.Shortly after the Stones got together as a band in 1962, founding member Brian Jones moved into an apartment in west London with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and James Phelge. The apartment, at 102 Edith Grove, was notorious for being a mess, with clothes and dirty dishes strewn about the place.The exhibition has recreated the scene with incredible detail, right down to the old empty beer bottles, a kitchen sink  filled with pots and pans, and plenty of old Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters records ready to be heard by an aspiring band that was, at the time, making only a few dollars per gig.It was at Edith Grove that the band started writing their own music, like the Beatles were doing.Charlie Watts admitted it's not possible to reconstruct the flat exactly as it was, but said the exhibition nails the apartment's feel.\"It is about the same amount of dust and smell, it's very much like that, the kitchen is very much like Edith Grove, fantastic,\" he noted, \"but the rest is difficult because you haven't got the pieces of furniture that had holes in it then, let alone now.\"Mick Jagger pointed out the reconstruction at the Saatchi Gallery is just a stone's throw from the west London original.\"The flat is a bit like, yeah, and it's just down the road - oddly enough, it's about 200 yards down the road and the building's still there,\" Jagger smiled, adding he inspected the \"Exhibitionism\" version. \"I went through that a few days ago and I changed it around a little bit and tried to remember it and I just moved some things and yeah, I said 'That's too many dirty ashtrays, there were never this many, can't have been, so  change some of that'. The Stones quickly left behind the matching checked jackets of the early 1960s to forge their own style, and the exhibition shows off many of Jagger's more outrageous fashion statements, including the white dress he wore at the band's 1969 Hyde Park concert and a pair of glittery 1970s jumpsuits.Jagger found it difficult to narrow down a choice selection from the many outfits he had held on to.\"The clothes, we had a lot of clothes, so it was tricky, that was one thing that was tricky to try and figure out which ones to put in,\" said Jagger.  \"I could have had that whole room just full of my clothes without Keith and Ronnie's and Charlie's to be honest,\" he laughs.Before leaving the red carpet, band members said they were planning to release a new album, possibly this year.The British rockers last released a studio album in 2005, but Ronnie Wood said they have been in the studio and recorded some new material and some blues covers.Keith Richards grinned as he reflected on a further evolution for the iconic rockers.\"What I love about this band is that we ain't found the Rolling Stones yet. We're still looking for them,\" Richards said. \"And if everybody else thinks they know the Rolling Stones, you cannot because we don't know yet but we're still trying to perfect the whole thing, you know and that's the way it is.\"The Stones have released 22 studio albums in Britain and 24 in the United States. \"A Bigger Bang\" was the last, and the band toured the album in 2005, '06 and '07.They resumed touring in 2012 to mark the band's 50th anniversary, but have only released a couple of new songs since then.\"Exhibitionism\" opens to the public Tuesday 5 April and runs through
