Stage 48: Script to Screen is an interactive experience giving movie fans a first-hand look into the world of film and TV production.STORYLINE: It's one of the busiest studios in Hollywood, but the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood is now even bigger. The back lot tour has an additional 25,000 square-feet (2,322 square-metres) of new space called Stage 48: Script to Screen. It takes visitors behind the scenes further than ever before with immersive and interactive experiences of how productions are made.Guests even get the chance to see how they'd look in blockbuster films like Gravity. The Executive Director of Warner Bros Studio Tour department, Danny Kahn has been with the studio for 25 years and says it's a unique experience.\"The greatest enhancement we have made is Stage. 48: Script to Screen, what we wanted to do is help put the tour into context and tell some of the story that we can't tell on the lot as we are visiting the sound stages and the back lots. This is giving us a chance to go into the writers room and into the casting director's office and have a chance to see a post production and how some of the visual effects are done also so it helps put some context into the tour and tells a more rounded story,\" he says.The new tour additions took two years to build and cost US$13 million. Each guided tour group has around 12 to 15 people.Here, visitors get a unique behind the scenes look at all stages of the TV and film making process  including, casting, costumes, visual effects, and motion capture technologies.Once inside Stage 48, talk show host Ellen Degeneres, whose show is housed on the lot, provides a video message welcome.Guests are invited to sit on the set of Friends and can also pay extra to take part in a mock screen test from the famous sofa. They can also order a coffee from Central Perk. People can also visit the living room set from the syndicated hit Two and a Half Men.The Script to Screen exhibition offers an insight into the detailed and lengthy process it takes to get a production ready for broadcast. Each step of the way is explained, including casting, scripting and costume design. Interactive displays allow people to build their own costumes or vehicles from hit movies like Batman and the Great Gatsby. Visitors can also learn about Forced Perspective where they sit on a miniature set of The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings to see how people can be made to look bigger or smaller in movies.Motion capture technology is also highlighted, where visitors can bring an animated character to life by moving their own bodies, hands and feet. One of the most popular parts of the tour is the immersive green screen area where guests get a chance to act out a scene from films like Harry Potter by riding a broomstick. Elsewhere, the tour still includes stops in the Picture Car Vault, where vehicles from the Batman movies are now housed. There's also the Warner Bros. Museum, which highlights the Batman and Harry Potter films.John Kourounis, Warner Bros Studio tour guide says this is the first time all eight Batman movie items are in one space.\"What we did is we brought in all of Warner Brothers Batman stuff, authentic costumes, props, concept art from all of Warner Brothers Batman films and what makes that so special is that it's the first time we've ever had all of our Batman in the same room at the same time for people to really walk around and see the progression and how Batman changed throughout the years.\"In 2014, more than 300 thousand people went on the studio tour, compared to about 150 thousand in 2011.
