Time and time again we heard that China would be the place to do such a show. There are several factors for that. One; there's a rising middle class here in China with disposable income, there's a lot of technology enthusiasts here, just the sheer size of the market. These are all factors that play into why companies put such an emphasis on this marketplace. Various of attendees on show floorLEADIN:Eagerly awaited every year in Las Vegas, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has become a place to showcase the latest high tech gimmicks and gadgets.But now consumers in Asia don't need to make the long trip to the US, they've got their very own CES Asia - debuting this year in Shanghai.STORYLINE:From drones to driving, wearables to 3D printing, CES has arrived in Asia.Over 250 exhibitors are packing themselves into this 20,000 square-metre arena in Shanghai's Pudong district.They're here for a three-day showcase of both international and Chinese tech brands' latest developments.CES Asia show director John Kelly claims it was a no-brainer when it came to deciding where to base the show outside of the US.\"For the past five years we've been speaking to our member companies and potential exhibitors as to where we would do a show outside of the United States, where would that be?\" he says.\"Time and time again we heard that China would be the place to do such a show.
