UPSOUND (English) Yoko Ono, Artist, on the new exhibition:\"I think about ten years ago there was a call from the Museum of Modern Art and saying 'We have this record that you have done a show with us. Would you please tell us what it was about?' (laughs) And I said, 'Oh, oh don't worry about it, it's nothing.' (laughs) The fact that when people say something like that instead of getting really angry or surprised or 'How dare you don't know about it or something I always go through maybe like most women do, 'Oh OK, don't worry about that and next, you know. And that's how I survived actually. And then I got a call from Klaus (Klaus Biesenbach, Chief Curator at Large, Museum of Modern Art) and I thought 'Well, what does he want?' 'Well, we think we're going to do this show or something.' My show. 'Really?' And I thought 'Would I like that, an institution doing a show of my work, mmm, you know most artists are kind of like rebellious and unless they're rebellious they can't survive so I was one of them, too. And I don't know how I did it really. Forty years not being recognized and just doing it (laughs) and I had some idea about it, that whatever you do it's going to be real and be realized. So just to let the people know about that it's good to do the show because it's like after 40 years. So you know, many people, not many people, but some people write to me, saying 'Are you sure that we're going to have world peace?' (laughs) and to those people I'd like to say maybe you have to wait 40 years for it.  I don't think so. I think it's going to be much faster. \"15. No, we were together and there was no kind of line, no division there and I would think of something and  I would say 'Oh yeah, right we'll do it this way' or something _ he really answered it and I would really answer too when he comes up with some idea. I don't have to listen to the whole thing. 'I know what you're saying and we should do it right now,' you know that kind of thing. So from that I learned that we're not alone and I'm not saying we're not alone because we're husband and wife, I'm talking about all of us.\"20. Medium, Yoko Ono posing for photos at conclusion of press conferenceYOKO ONO ON MUSEUM OF MODERN ART ONE WOMAN SHOW Most artists would pop open a bottle of champagne after news that the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York was interested in giving them a one person show. Yoko Ono says she had to think about it.  At a press preview Tuesday (12 May) for \"Yoko Ono: One Woman Show, 1960-1971\" which opens to the public on Sunday Ono said the rebel in her made her think twice. Eventually she was won over by the museum's curators and the opportunity to see and show  her work at the institution following an unofficial and self-curated MoMA debut in 1971. For that exhibition Ono supposedly released flies on the Museum grounds and visitors were invited to track them as they buzzed through Manhattan. To all the people who write asking if world peace is really possible, Ono said with a hint of a giggle \"I'd like to say, maybe you have to wait 40 years for it.\"  She said she was surprised when the museum approached her about the possibility of a show in 2008 saying she didn't think her first \"conceptual\" exhibit had registered.\"Most people didn't know about this, what I was doing for say roughly 40 years. Or more, actually. And I don't know how I did it really. Forty years not being recognized and just doing it (laughs) and I had some idea about it, that whatever you do it's going to be real and be realized. So just to let the people know about that it's good to do the show because it's like after 40 years.\"The new exhibition focuses on work created between 1960 and 1971 and includes pieces about her husband John Lennon.  \"We were together (John Lennon and Yoko Ono), and there was no kind of line, no division there.
