More traditional gowns are also on offer at this recent fair in London , with intricate detailing designed to sparkle.But the hottest trend this year is all about getting busy with glue and scissors and creating your own 'crafty' wedding.This is Clair (sic) Hinge, the founder of Creative Brides magazine and blog. If there's a way to do-it-yourself then Clair will find it... today she's demonstrating how to make white rose name tags for wedding favours.These simple and elegant roses can be quickly produced with just a pair of scissors and a touch of glue.Hinge is teaching groups of brides and bridesmaids her crafty tricks in a series of lessons throughout the event.She says getting all the girls together to make things is the best of bonding sessions.\"It's a fantastic bonding opportunity,\" she says.\"It's great because it gets everybody around and everybody is having a laugh, they're relaxed, they're sitting around and they're taking the mickey out of each other's work or just supporting each other and it is good, it gets everyone giggling and everyone having fun.\"Natasha Castano from Essex is here with her friends to learn from Hinge. Castano wants to pick up some ideas for her own wedding in April 2016.\"I've been quite interested in doing a lot of the details myself with my bridesmaids or my friends just to save money,\" she says.She's got exactly one year to get creative, but chief bridesmaid Laura Hill is ready to pitch in and lend a hand. \"She only got engaged a couple of weeks ago, but we've already been buying paper and string and getting ideas together for crafty decorations so yeah, definitely,\" she says.But before you're even let loose with the scissors, it's important to have a creative concept for the big day.This bride and her friends are busy working on a mood board at the stand of Bellaboo and Beau creative wedding planners. \"Some of my friends are really good at crafty things so we want to get a lot of them to make things, like the invitations and stuff like that,\" says bride-to-be Sophie Bingham.\"A lot of people want to make their wedding unique which means they're making their own stuff so it's different from what anyone's done before,\" says Bingham's friend and bridesmaid Juliet Sexton.Many brides are even choosing to do their own wedding make-up.They're using the internet to research and watch tutorials, also visiting exhibitions like this to pick up tips and techniques from professionals like Lauren Hogsden of Benefit.Today, Hogsden is teaching the basics of bridal make-up, her audience is listening carefully.\"Do it yourself makeup is definitely hot right now and the reason being is I think a lot of ladies have a huge amount of guidance with YouTube videos, places like this where you can come and have demonstrations and really go in depth as to how you want your make-up and get the knowledge from make-up artists which is great,\" says Hogsden.Couples are even getting creative with wedding drinks.The old days of a glass of champagne and a choice of red or white wine are long gone. Richard Manning runs The Shack Revolution, a pop-up cocktail bar that can liven up a wedding with a choice of the bride and groom's favourite tipples.Manning is demonstrating how to make a rhubarb martini, the perfect summer welcome cocktail, he says.\"I think with the wedding industry at the moment it's really important to remain on point, remain on trend,\" says Manning.\"And the direct result of that is you have to be creative... if you're not creative... and that goes for everything from the brides themselves through to the people who plan their weddings, the wedding planners. You have to be creative.\"Some fair visitors in the audience seem to be enjoying Manning's creations.And if it's fun the bride wants, then it would be difficult to imagine a better wedding car than this.It's a replica of John Lennon's psychedelic Rolls Royce Phantom V.It costs 500 British pounds (USD $750) with a driver for half a day's rental or 750 British pounds (USD $1,117) for a full day.
