Car driving away  \u003cbr/\u003eSir Mark Thatcher, accused of bankrolling an alleged coup plot in oil-rich Equatorial Guinea, will make an unexpected court appearance in South Africa on Thursday, prosecutors said on Wednesday.\u003cbr/\u003eSipho Ngwema, spokesman for the national prosecuting authority, and George van Niekerk, a member of Thatcher''''s legal team, refused to disclose the reason for the appearance in the Cape Town High Court on Thursday morning.\u003cbr/\u003eBritain''''s Sky TV news quoted sources as saying Thatcher would plead guilty to unwittingly contributing to financing the coup plot by paying for air ambulance services used by the mercenaries.\u003cbr/\u003eThe emerging deal, still being negotiated, called for Thatcher to pay a fine of about 570,000 US dollars and serve a suspended five-year sentence.
