Simpson stepped down from the witness stand on Tuesday without answering a  single question from his own attorney, who promised to bring Simpson back to testify  during the defence case next month.\u003cbr/\u003eIt was the third day Simpson was due to testify in the civil trial for the wrongful deaths of  Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman and the surprise tactical move  caught  everyone by surprise.\u003cbr/\u003eThe queue started in the early hours of the morning.  \u003cbr/\u003eAbout 150 people arrived for the third day of Simpson's testimony .\u003cbr/\u003eMaking use of their extra time, many read the newly delivered newspapers and  gossiped about their recollections of the last O.J Simpson trial.\u003cbr/\u003eSome said that they just wanted to join in the fun as they waited for the 16 public seats  to be drawn.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I just wanted to come down and hear and see all the freaks down here - and I'm one of  the freaks too I guess.  It's just a part of history\"\u003cbr/\u003eAs one woman put the finishing touches to her makeup while waiting - others were frank  about their reasons for wanting to see O.J testify.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Because I want to see him go down.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"Well, I want to see him finally buckle up just like in Perry Mason and say 'Alright, I did  it, I did it' and be done with it.  It'll be fabulous, he'll never say that, he's denying the  whole thing.  It's crazy, he's denying everything - but we all think he did it.\" (Walks  away saying, \"I think he did it\" repeatedly to camera)\u003cbr/\u003eWhen it came to the drawing of the tickets to see who would be allowed in, even the  security guards seemed to have a touch of Hollywood in their presentation.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile there were groans from those without winning tickets, the lucky few did manage  to get inside the courtroom - to see the very brief appearance of O-J Simpson on the  witness stand.\u003cbr/\u003eThe case was adjourned until next Tuesday shortly after the judge dismissed a juror he  accused of trying to contact lawyers in the case.\u003cbr/\u003eBut the shock move of the day was the decision by Simpson's attorney Robert Baker to  postpone the defence's cross-examination of Simpson.\u003cbr/\u003eThe dismissal of the juror means the jury will have the six-day Thanksgiving holiday to  ponder Simpson's responses to relentless questioning by plaintiff lawyers, without any  \"rehabilitation\" by Simpson's own lawyer.\u003cbr/\u003eThe surprise tactic was announced by Baker after two plaintiff lawyers subjected  Simpson to a brief round of questioning. \u003cbr/\u003eSuperior Court Judge Hiroshi Fujisaki sent home a newly constituted jury panel for the  holiday with a stern warning to avoid being \"grilled\" by friends and family.\u003cbr/\u003eTuesday's testimony was limited to the time it took for two more plaintiff lawyers to ask  Simpson a few wrap-up questions. \u003cbr/\u003eSimpson told them both he did not kill Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.\u003cbr/\u003eThe new jury still has nine whites, one black, one person of mixed race and one  Hispanic. There are still seven women and five men.\u003cbr/\u003eRelatives of the victims sued Simpson for wrongful death, forcing him to take the stand  this time.
