There's water over there. Here we always have drought - we depend on the heavens for food, but there's not enough. We have nothing here.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Hang Lu, Tibetan village\u003cbr/\u003eThe proposed move-in area for the project is currently uninhabited because of the unfertile desert-like conditions.\u003cbr/\u003eIf the project goes ahead, the area will be irrigated to support the new settlers.\u003cbr/\u003eHowever, since the project involves moving Han onto traditionally Tibetan lands, the plan continues to draw heated criticism.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"Basically we are opposed to moving farmers onto lands of the Tibetan and Mongolian people. Because their land has been appropriated for decades now and this is another appropriation. And we feel it should have no international funding. And the reason we didn't see it is because if you look at the project area per se there are no Tibetans there.
