Wide of De Pablo with media \u003cbr/\u003eRelatives of victims of the 2004 Madrid train bombings reacted with disillusionment after three lead defendants were convicted of murder and other charges on Wednesday.\u003cbr/\u003eAnother accused ringleader was acquitted in the culmination of a politically divisive trial over Europe's worst Islamic terror attack.\u003cbr/\u003eThere was tight security outside the Spanish high court compound in Plaza del Campo on the outskirts of Madrid as Judge Javier Gomez Bermudez read out the verdicts.\u003cbr/\u003eThe backpack bomb attacks killed 191 people and wounded more than 1,800 on March 11, 2004.\u003cbr/\u003eThe three lead suspects convicted of murder and attempted murder each received sentences ranging from 34-thousand to 43-thousand years in prison, although under Spanish law the most time they can spend in jail is 40 years. \u003cbr/\u003eSpain has no death penalty or life imprisonment.\u003cbr/\u003eThose three are Jamal Zougam, a Moroccan convicted of placing at least one bomb on one of the trains; Emilio Suarez Trashorras, a Spaniard and former miner found guilty of supplying the explosives used in the attacks; and Othman Gnaoui, a Moroccan accused of being a right-hand man of the plot's operational chief.\u003cbr/\u003eBut Rabei Osman, an Egyptian accused of helping orchestrate the attacks, was acquitted. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I feel very deceived.
