This is fortunately my third film with Mani and it's popularly believed back home that if Mani comes to you with a film - before he knocks at your door you should be saying yes. And you know that he is going to be giving you something special, something challenging. Our last two films have proved just that. A point of concern for me was when he said he wanted to do another film. Apart from being elated at the fact of getting to work with him again was how do we top what we did last which was 'Guru' and when he told me the concept of 'Raavan' I knew that we had something very special on-hand.\"\u003cbr/\u003e11. We have found ourselves every so often right from the beginning, right from the time that we got married came together. Because we have acted before together, or possibly it's the way that we are as actors, I think when you are on set and when you are there in front of the camera, when the camera is rolling and you are delivering your work you are just there being an honest actor, delivering to the moment and the scene, and working at bringing to reality your directors vision. That's what you are really doing. You are not really thinking 'alright I am now looking at my husband' and I'm sure he's not thinking 'I'm now looking at my wife' or 'oh oops I hope she's not hurt' not when the camera is rolling. He is nasty to me on screen in this film because that's what he has to be, that is the character. You just have to do it as honestly as you can. But yes it was definitely special that when you have a long and tiring day on a daily basis for a long schedule, you come back home and you have each other and that was a slight advantage.\"\u003cbr/\u003eVikram: \"That's the part I missed.\"\u003cbr/\u003eRai: \" But the days were long and you'd really be so bushed that the next morning is so early, you barely had that little time for TLC. But that definitely was wonderful. But having said that I would like to mention something here to Abishek's credit - because we are working together and with Vikram - and I am going to say this out loud - because there would be days initially in the schedule that I would be wondering 'yes I am your wife I am your girl, I am going through a lot I could do with a bit of attention sometimes' because it was rough. And I would be there going from one version to the next version because of the languages, so I would barely get a break and he would be there jamming with him. These two guys would be away and connecting.\"\u003cbr/\u003eVikram: \"The Raavan Club.\"\u003cbr/\u003eRai: \"Yeah it would be called the Raavan club. They would be there together but he never explained it which is great and I just picked it up. But I just thought it was great that at no point did we want Vikram to feel at any point that here we were a twosome, very comfortable in our own world and we hope we succeeded. Medium shot pull out to wide of press conference \u003cbr/\u003eEven a \"torturous\" 200-day-long shoot in inaccessible jungles couldn't drive Bollywood's power couple apart.\u003cbr/\u003eAishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan told reporters Monday (17th May 2010) that they're so used to working together that the particularly difficult conditions on the set of \"Raavan\" hadn't sown any seeds of matrimonial discord.\u003cbr/\u003eThe couple, who married in 2007, were in Cannes during the film festival here to drum up publicity for \"Raavan,\" the latest effort by acclaimed Indian director Mani Ratnam.\u003cbr/\u003eLoosely based on characters from Hindu mythology, the movie tells the story of a thief who kidnaps a woman to avenge his sister's death. The big-budget film is set partly in dense jungles and has plenty of action numbers, in addition to the song-and-dance routines that are de rigeur in Indian movies.\u003cbr/\u003e\"It was special: When you have a long, tiring day on a daily basis for a long schedule, you come home and you have each other,\" she said. \"There was a slight advantage there, but the days were long, so you'd really be so bushed and the next morning was so early that you barely had any time for any T.L.C,\" said the former Miss World who's now a spokesmodel for French cosmetics giant L'Oreal.\u003cbr/\u003eThe shoot was doubly harrowing for Rai Bachchan, who plays the same character in two separate versions of the film, one in Hindi and another in Tamil - which is spoken in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.\u003cbr/\u003eBachchan only stars in the Hindi version, while actor Vikram - known by only one name - plays his role in the Tamil version.\u003cbr/\u003eRai Bachchan said she and her husband made a conscious effort not to leave out their Tamil co-star, Vikram, often dining and hanging out with him after the shoots.\u003cbr/\u003eBachchan added, \"Just to set the record straight, that was purely professional that we included him in everything, before we all let our imaginations go wild.
