Somehow, I am still living.\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Sohan Sarkar, victim of arsenic poisoning\u003cbr/\u003eAccording to the World Health Organization, water that contains more than 0.05  milligrams of arsenic per litre is not fit to drink. \u003cbr/\u003eBut in parts of West Bengal arsenic content is peaking as high as 3.4 milligrams per  litre. \u003cbr/\u003eThat's because soil, containing high levels of naturally occurring arsenic, has seeped  into the water supply. \u003cbr/\u003eArsenic levels are 250 times higher than the safety limit. \u003cbr/\u003eAnd though most contaminated wells and hand pumps are now off limits, villagers are  still drawing water from unsafe pumps.\u003cbr/\u003eDr K.C.
