Rumsfeld said on Monday that the successful missile defence test last weekend shows how far the United States has come with anti-missile technology.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Pentagon plans another 20 intercept tests over the next five years, he said.\u003cbr/\u003eRumsfeld said the administration is determined to develop technologies that can used to intercept ballistic missiles of various ranges and in various stages of flight. \u003cbr/\u003eIn Saturday's test, a projectile carrying a \"kill vehicle\" , a 120-pound device with its own propulsion, communications and ability to \"see\" its target with an infrared seeker, soared into space aboard a rocket and collided with a mock warhead, destroying it by sheer force of impact. \u003cbr/\u003eIt was the fourth such test and the first successful intercept since the first attempt in October 1999.\u003cbr/\u003eOn Capitol Hill, Monday,  Rumsfeld responded to criticism that missile defence is consuming too large a share of the defence budget, which totals 296 (b) billion U-S dollars this year. \u003cbr/\u003eThe budget for missile defence this year is about 5 (b) billion U-S dollars, and President Bush has proposed increasing it to
