nine-member court with a woman or a member of an ethnic minority.\u003cbr/\u003eRoberts has been on the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, nominated by Bush, since June 2003.\u003cbr/\u003eIn making his first nomination to the Supreme Court, Bush had an opportunity to expand his conservative agenda and extend it past his\u003cbr/\u003epresidency.
