An all-star Jazz Band will pay tribute to the actor's love of jazz as well as his extensive  use of music in his own...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eEnglish/Nat\u003cbr/\u003eClint Eastwood will be the honoured guest Thursday night at a concert in New York  City's Carnegie Hall. \u003cbr/\u003eAn all-star Jazz Band will pay tribute to the actor's love of jazz as well as his extensive  use of music in his own work.\u003cbr/\u003eThe programme will feature music from many Eastwood films including \"Play Misty for  Me\", \"Bird\", \"The Bridges of Madison County\", and the acclaimed documentary on  jazzman Thelonious Monk, \"Straight, No Chaser\". \u003cbr/\u003eFilm composer and Eastwood collaborator Lennie Niehaus has been commissioned to  write the title piece, \"Eastwood After Hours\".\u003cbr/\u003eThe 105 year old Carnegie Hall has a rich musical history and has featured jazz  concerts going back to 1912. \u003cbr/\u003eEveryone from Benny Goodman, Charlie Parker, Billy Holiday, Louis Armstrong, and  countless other jazz greats have performed in this famous concert hall.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Carnegie Hall Jazz Band was formed in 1991 and is lead by music director and  trumpeter Jod Faddis, who has had strong associations with Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel  Hampton, and Charlie Mingus, while recording with Frank Sinatra, Oscar Peterson and  Sarah Vaughan to name only a few.\u003cbr/\u003eThe band is an all-star line up with a special guest list that reads like the who's who in  jazz. \u003cbr/\u003eThe rehearsals are fun and relaxed, but sound polished and professional.\u003cbr/\u003eAt a press conference Clint Eastwood explained where his love of jazz stems from, the  legendary Carnegie Hall concert series with Lionel Hampton and Benny Goodman from  1938.\u003cbr/\u003eEastwood often says jazz is \"a great American art from along with the Western\" and he  featured the music in almost all films he has directed.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English): \u003cbr/\u003e\"I've just always been enthusiastic about jazz music, in particular in my upbringing.
