is the fifth year Mela has been held in London and Artistic Director Ajay Chhabra said this years festival was even more important than ever as it marked the sixtieth anniversary of Indian independence.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Indian independence was all about freedom and about self-rule so making a festival that's open and accessible that brings in amazingly new audiences was a really important thing for us,\" said Chhabra.\u003cbr/\u003eOrganisers were expecting more than 60-thousand people to attend the Mela, which celebrates the creativity and culture of London's Asian communities.\u003cbr/\u003eThe event - which has been dubbed the 'Asian Glastonbury' - included themed zones and six music and performance stages, including the classical stage; the indo-electronica stage; the community and cabaret stage; London Flavas and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Asian Network stage. \u003cbr/\u003eThere was also a Magic Mela area for children, a funfair and a marketplace with food and cultural stalls as well as dance, street theatre, visual arts and crafts.\u003cbr/\u003eFor the movie fans at the festival, Bollywood actors were there to talk about a new film being released in the UK in September.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe film, called 'Sambar Salsa', stars two first time Bollywood actors but producer Renu Patel was sure it would be a big hit among UK Asian film fans.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Bollywood has arrived,\" said Patel.\u003cbr/\u003eChhabra told AP Television that he wanted people walk away from London Mela 2007 \"feeling happy\" and \"with a smile on their face.\"\u003cbr/\u003ePeople certainly seemed to be enjoying the festival.\u003cbr/\u003eShanthi Vinjeemur, a 61-year old retired teacher from Madras who was visiting her family in London, told
