The family was counting on him not being re-deployed. And so he and the family were told that their tours in the middle east were over and literally overnight that changed. So I think it is fair to say that he and the family were not happy that he was going back.\u003cbr/\u003eI have instructed our client, I have a hard time not saying his name, not to talk to us about any of the facts because we don't trust the phones. So I think the only in depth conversation we're going to have with him is going to be face to face.\u003cbr/\u003eThis is an international event, it's a very touchy event for our government and for other government so it's not just a normal criminal case that I deal with and we understand that. We understand our government's concern with it. We certainly understand the concern of Afghanistan and it's people so this is a pretty huge case from the standpoint of \u003cbr/\u003eramifications. It's not just a regular criminal case which I wish it was.\u003cbr/\u003eHe's never said anything antagonistic about Muslims. He's never said anything antagonistic about Middle Eastern individuals. He's in general he's been mild-mannered.\u003cbr/\u003eSomebody was gravely injured the day before the alleged incident. Gravely injured, which affected all of the soldiers.\u003cbr/\u003eHe's decorated highly. Has no prior advance on his dossier indicating any kind of of misbehavior. He's originally from the midwest. \u003cbr/\u003eThe government has told me, and I respect the government a lot on this, there are grave concerns about security in this case, and that's one of the reasons we're not revealing his identity.\u003cbr/\u003eThere is discussion of the death penalty, understandably I think in this situation, which makes us very nervous, as whenever our cases involve the potential of the death penalty. It's a serious matter and it's not off the table at this point. Our hope that maybe it will be. We don't know anything about our client's state of mind.
