\u003cbr/\u003eScreening passengers for possible terrorists is a top priority for America's new Customs Service Commissioner, who want airlines to turn over advance lists of people flying on their planes.\u003cbr/\u003eRobert Bonner, Customs Service Commissioner, has told The Associated Press he first wants the passenger information for all international flights bound for U-S soil.\u003cbr/\u003eHe says Congress should also consider requiring that such information be turned over for domestic flights as well.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Customs Service has access to about 85 percent of international flight passenger information under a voluntary program with the airlines, but it has no information on domestic flights.\u003cbr/\u003eThe agency, which protects the America's borders, has been receiving some information on international air travelers, including names, birth dates, nationality and travel document numbers, on a voluntary basis from airlines since 1988.\u003cbr/\u003eCurrently 95 air carriers and two governments, Australia and New Zealand, electronically transmit data on international air passengers poised to enter the US to a Customs' facility
