Today, people have lost the pleasure of getting married, they have lost the joy of it like it was in the past. Maybe in the past there was not a lot of courtship before marriage and people were more convinced of the meaning to having a family. Today, people get married to see if it works, and see if they understand each other. Those marriages are 'discarded marriages' and because of that the law (referring to new divorce law) is, a very permissible and loose law that leads people to lose a very important origin of family values, which is a gift and a commitment. Mid shot of priest talking on the phone\u003cbr/\u003eThe impact of new divorce legislation signed into law by Colombia's President, Alvaro Uribe last week, has started to be felt in the strongly Catholic country. \u003cbr/\u003eUnder the new legislation couples without young children, and who jointly agree to the divorce will no longer have to appear before a judge, but can simply go to the local registrar office with a jointly-signed declaration that only requires a stamp from a public notary.\u003cbr/\u003eIn effect, couples will now be able to get divorced within an hour and for as little as 15 US dollars. \u003cbr/\u003eThe legislation was passed by congress in July in an attempt to deal with a estimated backlog of one (m) million divorce cases passing through the country's courts. \u003cbr/\u003eFor some, the laws will enable couples desperate to divorce to bypass costly lawyers, legal hurdles and long delays in court.\u003cbr/\u003e\"It would have been taken much longer if we did this in the court house.
