(March 26)\u003cbr/\u003e[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE]\u003cbr/\u003e   The questions have raged since NFL defensive back turned Army Ranger Pat Tillman was killed in Afghanistan three years ago\u003cbr/\u003e   (TILLMAN SITTING IN TREE in UNIFORM)\u003cbr/\u003e   what was first reported as death by enemy fire...and then FRIENDLY fire\u003cbr/\u003e   SOT: Thomas Gimble, acting Pentagon inspector general  roughly 4:29:00 \u003cbr/\u003e   \"Our review concluded that Corporal Tillman's chain of command made critical errors in reporting and assigning jurisdiction in the days following his death, and bear ultimate responsibilities for the inaccuracies, misunderstandings and concealment that led to our review.\"\u003cbr/\u003e   while saying there was no broad coverup, the report blames officers for misleading information -- and for waiting 35 days to tell his family Tillman had been accidentally killed by fellow soldiers\u003cbr/\u003e   the Tillmans found out long after the Army admit ted  it had a duty to tell the family .  \u003cbr/\u003e   SOT: Pete Geren, acting Army secretary    roughly 5:01:00\u003cbr/\u003e   \"Our failure in fulfilling this duty brought discredit to the Army and compounded the grief suffered by the Tillman family.  For that, on behalf of the Army, I apologize to the Tillman family.\u003cbr/\u003e   while the watchdog's report recommends action against nine high-ranking officers, including the three-star general who heads Army special operations........\u003cbr/\u003e   another probe says there was no criminal wrongdoing in Tillman's shooting\u003cbr/\u003e   a detailed Pentagon reenactment painted the scene in the rocky Afghan mountains...showing where Tillman was when half his convoy emerged from a canyon ambush\u003cbr/\u003e   and where he was killed, when with radio contact cut, the leader of the second group mistook Tillman's cover fire for fire aimed AT fellow Americans.\u003cbr/\u003e   SOT: Brigadier General Rod Johnson, Army Criminal Investigation Command  roughly 4:26:00\u003cbr/\u003e   \"As a soldier, he has a legal duty to engage the enemy.  He was not negligent in engaging Corporal Tillman's position. Any reasonable soldier would have acted as he did.\"\u003cbr/\u003e   STANDUP:  Tillman was awarded the Silver Star shortly after the shooting, with the citation noting he was killed by enemy fire. The inspector's general report recommended the Army take another look at it...but the acting Army secretary says either by enemies or friendlies, Tillman died a hero..and the silver star will
