He also was charged with murder in commission of a robbery and robbery causing great bodily injury.\u003cbr/\u003eLori Townsend learned the details of how her daughter came in contact with a suspected serial killer through a phone call Sunday with a detective. \u003cbr/\u003eTownsend said her daughter moved away from Aurora, Colorado, in June in an effort to start her own life. Afrikka Hardy had dreams that included being a nurse and possibly a singer. \u003cbr/\u003eTownsend said her daughter planned to enroll in college and spoke about struggling to find a job in her new town and that she will never know why her daughter took out an ad on Backpage.com that led to her contact with a suspected serial killer. \u003cbr/\u003eShe said she's grateful that her daughter's slaying was solved quickly, but questions the investigation by police of at least five other slayings and why a suspect who has an extensive record was released from prison and not monitored more closely.\u003cbr/\u003eCrown Point, Indiana - October 21, 2014\u003cbr/\u003e1.
