This medicine raises the function of body immunity system in HIV patients which is very important.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThere is currently no cure for AIDS, which is why prevention is so important.\u003cbr/\u003eNow Iranian scientists claim to have developed a new medicine that can control the spread of HIV/AIDS.\u003cbr/\u003eSpeaking at an IMOD (short for \"Immuno-Modulator Drug\") introduction news conference (04 February) in Tehran Iran's Minister of Health Kamran Baqeri Lankarani announced the registration of the new drug IMOD.\u003cbr/\u003eScientists claim the drug is completely effective and safe with no proven side effects.\u003cbr/\u003eIt's estimated that Iran has more than 14,000, AIDS patients. developing fetus.  \u003cbr/\u003eFive different drugs have been developed in Iran for treating and controlling AIDS so far.\u003cbr/\u003eBut scientists hope the newly developed drug IMOD can strengthen the immunity of HIV patients.\u003cbr/\u003eMinister of Health, Kamran Baqeri Lankarani, said at a recent news conference that Iran's young scientists have discovered a herbal medicine - known as IMOD - that can control the spread of the HIV/AIDS virus in an infected person. \u003cbr/\u003eThe new  medicine was developed as a way of raising and strengthening the immune system of HIV patients.\u003cbr/\u003eThe medicine, IMOD, was developed from locally grown medicinal plants by scientists from fifteen research centres after four to five years of work. \u003cbr/\u003eIt has been tested on 200 volunteer patients. \u003cbr/\u003eProduced through nanotechnology, IMOD is the fifth generation of medicines against AIDS in the world. \u003cbr/\u003eThe first generation of medicines prevents the spread of the virus, and the second prevents infection with the virus. \u003cbr/\u003eThe third generation prevents the spread of the AIDS virus in a patient, while the fourth boosts the body's immunity. \u003cbr/\u003eGholamreza Amin, a physician and HIV specialist and a member of the IMOD production team, says the new drug raises the function of the body's immune system in HIV patients.\u003cbr/\u003eAccording to statistics released by the Iranian Health Ministry, Iran has identified about 14000 HIV patients.\u003cbr/\u003eIn the Iranian Research Centre for HIV / AIDS Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where many HIV infected patients are treated the hopes are stronger.\u003cbr/\u003eMany of the patients kept in this centre were born with the HIV infection or were infected while abusing drugs in  prison. \u003cbr/\u003eIn recent years, there have been concerns over other ways of conveying this contagious disease in Iran, especially through sexual
