market.\u003cbr/\u003eMany company executives are concerned that local industry will be undermined by an inundation of foreign capital, while others are confident that it will bring the nation profit.\u003cbr/\u003eWang Yong's company has been involved in the plastic business for ten years and his products are mainly sold in China, but now he think it's time for a change.\u003cbr/\u003eWang, like many others, believes that after China's WTO entry, Chinese goods will have easier access to the US market.\u003cbr/\u003eZou Libin, manager of the Guangzhou Malisha Handbag Company, believes that, although there may be troubles ahead for high-tech industries, the low labour costs in China will ensure that light and textile industries have brighter prospects.\u003cbr/\u003eLabour-intensive industry is the traditional economic engine house of the country and has been the main force behind Chinese exports, which valued in excess of 250 (b) billion US dollars last year.\u003cbr/\u003eYet other small enterprises are already experiencing difficulties in the overseas market due to the downturn in the world economy and the after-effects of the September 11 terrorist attacks.\u003cbr/\u003eSome, like Li Zuguo of the Zhejiang Shuangma Plastics Company, maintain therefore that it will become more important to win the fierce competition of the
