Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday.\u003cbr/\u003eFans registered online for free in the random drawing of only 8,750 names. \u003cbr/\u003eEach person selected was to receive two tickets and would be notified by e-mail after 1100 local time (1800 GMT) on Sunday, according to a Staples Center news release.\u003cbr/\u003eThe tickets were to admit 11-thousand people to the Staples Center plus 6,500 fans who had found themselves unlucky in the draw to turn up on Tuesday. \u003cbr/\u003ePolice said the streets around the stadium would be closed to prevent those without tickets from trying to attend.\u003cbr/\u003eThe ceremony would not be shown on Staples' giant outdoor TV screen and there would be no funeral procession through the city.\u003cbr/\u003eNo details were given about the actual memorial events.\u003cbr/\u003eBut McDonnell said Jackson's family were planning a private ceremony at the Forest Lawn cemetery in the Hollywood Hills, but did not provide further details.\u003cbr/\u003eJackson died on June 25, aged 50, after going into cardiac arrest in the bedroom of his rented mansion. \u003cbr/\u003eThe cause of his death has not been determined.
