in Afghanistan.\u003cbr/\u003eOne of the bombs bore the inscription: \"Happy Thanksgiving Osama bin Laden\".\u003cbr/\u003eOnce back on board the aircraft carrier early on Friday morning, the celebrations began with a prayer breakfast, followed by a gospel choir.\u003cbr/\u003eThe carrier's crew didn't get much of a break for Thanksgiving, but they did have a feast.\u003cbr/\u003eWhen it left its home port of Norfolk, Virginia, on September 19, the Roosevelt was carrying another important cargo along with its war planes and bombs - 3-thousand pounds (1,350 kilograms) of frozen turkey.\u003cbr/\u003eThe ship's chefs popped the 20-pound (9-kilogram) birds in giant ovens for about four to six hours.\u003cbr/\u003eThe crew of 5-thousand-500 men and women, Navy and Marines, entered the galleys of the huge ship in two seatings on Friday morning.\u003cbr/\u003eThe first sat at the tables at 3 a-m local time, to coincide with the holiday at home.\u003cbr/\u003eThey were replaced by those who worked the night shift at 6 a-m.\u003cbr/\u003eCelebrations continued with seven female dancers who performed before hundreds of U-S crew enjoying a rare break from the war. \u003cbr/\u003eSome of the crew stood on plane wings to get a better view of the seven cheerleaders for the Miami Dolphins football team, who waved pompoms to a number of tunes.\u003cbr/\u003eThe cheerleaders, dressed in hotpants and green football jerseys, signed autographs and ate with the troops in the mess deck.\u003cbr/\u003eMen waited turns to have their pictures taken with the
