Vienna came to symbolise the splendour of an age. \u003cbr/\u003eToday visitors can recapture some of that feeling  - and with its beautifully preserved baroque architecture and world-famous churches, Vienna is perfectly suited for the Christmas season.\u003cbr/\u003eThe main courtyard in front of Schonbrunn Palace, the former Hapsburg residence, is currently home to traditional handicrafts, hand-made jewellery, and rustic Christmas tree decorations.\u003cbr/\u003eSome of the most popular items at the market are small tin figures, which have been made in the city for generations. \u003cbr/\u003eStefan Urbanke, crafts the tiny figures.\u003cbr/\u003eHe says that the art has evolved from just representations of soldiers to little figures of different professions and scenes of everyday life. \u003cbr/\u003eTraditional food for sale also includes Kaiserschmarren - a typical Austrian sweet dish, which comes from the time of Kaiser Josef. \u003cbr/\u003eOne of the main winter attractions, going back over two decades, is the 'Magic of Advent' traditional market  around Vienna's City Hall, the Rathaus. \u003cbr/\u003eThis year, the traditional Christmas market boasts in the
