It all comes together where he has this wonderful, joyous abstracted figures -- you don't know whether there's one or several figures on the beach here in this scene. And he's turned the picture almost three or four times if you follow the brush strokes, so the whole thing is this sort of wild experiment. At the same time he's also experimenting with paper, so these are actually two large joined sheets of paper, brown paper, which he likened to the colour of sand and he painted on them and then mounts it to a canvas.
