We use colourful plastic balls which aren't dangerous. It is really a beautiful and fine game. Two rival teams are competing to gain the banner. They stand facing each other from different angles and shoot at each other using the coloured plastic balls. It wouldn't harm and there are no negative sides (to the game).\" says trainer Mohammed Lukman.\u003cbr/\u003ePaintball can be played  in teams or individually. \u003cbr/\u003eParticipants simulate military combat, driving out opponents by hitting them with capsules containing water-soluble dye with gelatin shells. \u003cbr/\u003eThe aim of the game is to capture the flag, which is usually set up in the middle of shooting field. \u003cbr/\u003eBaghdad Paintball uses a realistic course, with obstacles and barricades used as tactical strongholds, to make the scene more lifelike. \u003cbr/\u003eBut the players here will be mindful that since June, the Islamic militant group, which calls itself the Islamic State, has led a lightning campaign across the country and now holds large swathes of land.\u003cbr/\u003eThe group has vowed to fight on to Baghdad to establish it's version of an Islamic Caliphate.\u003cbr/\u003eAt least 4,000 people have died, according to the United Nations, while the group fights both the Iraqi army in the south and the Kurdish region's Pershmerga forces to the north.\u003cbr/\u003ePlayer Ali Satar says the game helps people forget about what's going on in other areas of Iraq.\u003cbr/\u003e\"People enjoy this game, to get away from the violence (in Iraq today),\" he says.\u003cbr/\u003eThe emerging popularity of paintball resembles other American pop culture trends that have taken hold in Iraq, including Rap and video games.\u003cbr/\u003eAP Television\u003cbr/\u003eBaghdad, Iraq - 4 August 2014\u003cbr/\u003e1.
