Aziz walking away  \u003cbr/\u003eIraq's Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz accused Washington on Wednesday of wanting to use weapons inspectors in a way that will provoke Iraq and give the US a pretext for an invasion. \u003cbr/\u003eAziz was speaking in Baghdad at the end of an international solidarity conference that has seen politicians and academics from around the world rallying to show support for Iraq. \u003cbr/\u003eAfter the closing session, Aziz condemned remarks by U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, saying his nation would comply with commitments made in a letter this week to the United Nations.\u003cbr/\u003eWithout specifying particular remarks made by Rumsfeld to the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, the Deputy Prime Minister said Rumsfeld's comments prove Washington isn't concerned about weapons of mass destruction. \u003cbr/\u003eIraq maintains the United States is merely looking for a pretext for war. \u003cbr/\u003eAziz said, \"we hope the whole world will not give in to American blackmailing and threats.\" \u003cbr/\u003eRumsfeld told the congressional committee earlier Wednesday that \"no terrorist state poses a greater and more immediate threat to the security of our people and the stability of the world than the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq.\" \u003cbr/\u003eHe also said that Congress must authorize the use of military force against Iraq before the U.N. Security Council votes on the issue. \u003cbr/\u003eAziz also said Iraq will comply with the commitments it made in a letter to U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan dated Monday in which Iraq reversed its previous position, saying it would unconditionally accept the return of international weapons inspectors. \u003cbr/\u003eThe
