Mid of delegation seen through barbed wire, pull focus to close of barbed wire\u003cbr/\u003eMuslim religious leaders from the MidEast, US, Africa and Europe joined Jewish scholars and rabbis on a visit to a former Nazi concentration camp in Germany on Monday. \u003cbr/\u003eThe group, led by US rabbi and Holocaust refugee Jack Bemporad, visited Dachau camp as part of an educational tour of concentration camps in Germany and Poland.\u003cbr/\u003eBemporad said the group was \"trying to learn something about what was one of the most atrocious and horrifying experiences of the last century and how we can unite to work together to educate people and inform people so that it never happens again.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"I can't think of anything more important that can be done,\" he added. \u003cbr/\u003eVisiting imam Dr Ahmet Muharrem, who is the secretary-general of the Journalists and Writers Foundation in Turkey, said he had not expected that the camp would have been run in such a clinical way.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I was thinking something happened in the past by the uncivilised people, uneducated, and arrogant people. But I saw that here was very civilised, very technological torture,\" he said. \u003cbr/\u003eThe group was given a guided tour of the camp, including the crematorium, where they saw ovens that were used to burn the dead bodies of prisoners. \u003cbr/\u003eMarshall Breger, a professor of law and vice-president of the conservative Jewish Policy Center in the United States, said he was moved \"to see how, in what an authentic manner the Muslim imams and religious leaders could relate to the authentic horror of what happened here, and to be in some communion with the Jewish community and the other victims of the Holocaust.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe Dachau visit was preceded by a joint prayer session at Penzberg mosque and Ohel Jakob synagogue in Munich. \u003cbr/\u003eThe study tour will continue on to Poland later in the week, where a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp is planned. \u003cbr/\u003eA similar trip was held in 2010, but predominantly involved US religious leaders. \u003cbr/\u003eThis time, a dozen imams and religious educators from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Bosnia, Morocco, Indonesia, Nigeria and Turkey are taking part. \u003cbr/\u003eThe study tour aims to educate religious leaders about the Holocaust and to promote tolerance and diversity. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Nazis killed nearly six (m) million Jews during the
