street seller says that masks of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, of the leftist Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), are selling the most, and those of Roberto Madrazo of the old ruling party, the PRI, selling the least.\u003cbr/\u003eIn an effort to catch people's attention these PRD supporters have used body paint on a scantily clad young woman. \u003cbr/\u003e\"We are doing this with a lot of joy, using art because we are going to win this up coming July 2,\" said one supporter.\u003cbr/\u003eDuring their campaigns each candidate has resorted to some form of merchandising to attract votes.\u003cbr/\u003eLopez Obrador was ubiquitous at campaign rallies in the form of life-size cardboard cut-outs of himself.\u003cbr/\u003eFelipe Calderon,  former energy secretary from outgoing President Vicente Fox's conservative National Action Party, tried to liven up his stodgy, conservative image - he actually wore a cardigan sweater on one campaign ad - by hiring clowns and explosive confetti-machines at his rallies.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile some analysts have criticised the campaigns, others see them simply as as  politics coming of age in the mass media era. \u003cbr/\u003eThe election race is currently neck-and-neck between Lopez Obrador and and Felipe Calderon, a former energy secretary from outgoing President Vicente Fox's conservative National Action
